Heritage Days, August 2-4, Edmonton
Heritage Days 2008 was a success! Thank you to the more than twenty volunteers that came out over the weekend to work at Edzimkulu's information and display table; engaging in conversation, beadwork sales and accepting donations. Thank you to the Ugandan Association for their invitation to participate - your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated!
Edzimkulu Annual General Meeting, June 12th, Edmonton
Thank you to all who attended Edzimkulu's AGM and board meeting.
Changing Lives 2008 Fundraiser, April 17th, Edmonton
Thanks to everyone who supported Changing Lives 2008! The event was a huge success. More than 300 people turned out to the Royal Alberta Museum to enjoy the dynamic performance by Memeza Africa, a traditional choir from Soweto, and Edmonton’s very own Holly Wright. How fortunate we were to have musicians from South Africa and Canada on stage together. Thank you to the choir and to Holly Wright for coming together to share their talents with us. We’ll let you know how much money was raised when we have a total. And please join us next year for Changing Lives 2009. Edzimkulu’s work would not be possible without your continued support.
